Safeguarding Training for Volunteers and Parishioners
National Safeguarding Training for anyone in roles with children and/or adults who may be vulnerable.
Wednesday 21st July 2021 1.00pm-3.00pm via Zoom
(You must have Zoom downloaded on to a PC/Laptop/Tablet or Smartphone to access the training)
The content of this training has been agreed nationally by the Bishops Conference of England and Wales. It will focus on case studies related to vulnerable adult and child abuse.
Facilitated by Liam Ring (training lead for Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency)the aims of the session are:
➢ To raise awareness of safeguarding issues you may come across whilst
carrying out your ministry
➢ To provide knowledge in reporting concerns correctly and appropriately.
➢ To provide knowledge of policies, processes and procedures in line with
national guidance
➢ To raise awareness of how to respond if you receive a disclosure of abuse
The session is open to anyone who has a volunteer role with children and/or adults who may be vulnerable. It is also available for parishioners who would like to know more about safeguarding.
