RIP MARY DUCEY: The funeral of Mary Ducey will take place on Thursday 3rd April at 12.15 Immaculate Conception RC church, Spinkhill. We pray for Mary and we keep Paddy and the family in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.


RETIRING COLLECTIONS:

14th March is CAFOD’s  Lent appeal. It would be much appreciated if  you could  pick up an envelope in Church and return it next week with a donation.

There will be  ‘one off’ retiring collections after Masses on 22/23rd March for the National Shrine of  Our Lady of Walsingham to raise additional funds for the shrine in this Jubilee year.

SOUP AND SONG:

The next interactive music session is 12-2pm on Thursday 13th March at Wales Methodist Chapel.  All welcome.


CHURCH CLEANING DINNINGTON:

LIVE SIMPLY MARCH:

The collection of clothes for the Clothing Bank has been a fantastic success, thank you to all who have donated so far. The collection will continue throughout March, please bring your donations of clothes (in good condition) to church or ring Chris Parrott 07817542303 to arrange drop off at her house.

Come join us for a faith-filled weekend at St Vincent’s Mission Hub! Mike and Alicia Hernon, of the famous Messy Family Project, are coming all the way from the USA, to lead couples during an exclusive workshop, on the Four Disciplines of a Family! The main event is on Saturday 15th March (11-3pm) (Childcare is available on a pre booking basis only).  There will also be a Date Night for married couples on Friday March 14, (7:30-9:30pm) with cheese and wine and a talk from Mike and Alicia, on How to Keep Your Love Alive. 'BORN FOR THIS':  THE WAY OF THE CROSS:

A powerful depiction of the Stations of the Cross, in words, music and drama is being performed on Palm Sunday, 13 April, 3.00 pm at Immaculate Conception, Herringthorpe Valley Road, Rotherham.  Admission free. Retiring collection for St Vincent de Paul Society.


FIRST HOLY COMMUNION:

The sessions take place on Wednesday in the parish rooms on the following dates starting at 6:30. The meetings will last approximately an hour.

Meeting 5      19 March

Meeting 6      26 March

Meeting 7      16 April


DIGITAL GIVING:

Hopefully you have seen the credit card reader which has recently been installed at the back of St Joseph’s church. Sadly there was a small deficit last year in our parish funds and therefore it needs to be as easy as possible for parishioners to contribute to our parish.

There are now two new ways of cashless giving

      1.    It’s very easy to use the card reader at the back of church, clear instructions are

with the machine,  

OR

      2.    You can use the QR code in church and on the website, just scan the code and

follow the simple instructions

The Dinnington group will meet at 7pm (6.30 for refreshments) each Thursday as follows:
