RIP MARY DUCEY: The funeral of Mary Ducey will take place on Thursday 3rd April at 12.15 Immaculate Conception RC church, Spinkhill. We pray for Mary and we keep Paddy and the family in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.


RIP JOHN FRANK SEYMOUR WEEKS:  John died on 8th February surrounded by his wife Paula and family.  We pray for John and keep Paula and the family in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.

CHURCH CLEANING KIVETON:  Do you  have an hour to spare  to help with cleaning our beautiful   Blessed William Richardson church in  Kiveton?  We would love for you to join us.

CHURCH CLEANING DINNIGTON:

LIVE SIMPLY MARCH:

The collection of clothes for the Clothing Bank has been a fantastic success, thank you to all who have donated so far. The collection will continue throughout March, please bring your donations of clothes (in good condition) to church or ring Chris Parrott 07817542303 to arrange drop off at her house.


LENT AT ST BERNARDS:

St Bernard's Catholic High School will be having Mass each Wednesday at 8am during Lent, starting next Wednesday 5th March where ashes will also be distributed. The Mass will be in the main hall and breakfast snacks will be served after Mass.

These Masses have proved very popular with staff and students from both St Bernard's and our partner primary schools and we very much look forward to seeing you there

Mike and Alicia Hernon, of the famous Messy Family Project, are coming all the way from the USA, to lead couples during an exclusive workshop, on the Four Disciplines of a Family! The main event is on Saturday 15th March (11-3pm) (Childcare is available on a pre booking basis only).  There will also be a Date Night for married couples on Friday March 14, (7:30-9:30pm) with cheese and wine and a talk from Mike and Alicia, on How to Keep Your Love Alive. 'BORN FOR THIS'.  THE WAY OF THE CROSS:

A powerful depiction of the Stations of the Cross, in words, music and drama is being performed on Palm Sunday, 13 April, 3.00 pm at Immaculate Conception, Herringthorpe Valley Road, Rotherham.  Admission free. Retiring collection for St Vincent de Paul Society.


HALLAM FORMATION AND MISSION WITH THE JESUIT INSTITUTE PRESENT   LISTENING WITH THE HEART:

This is a series of 5 sessions, (one in person and 4 on-line) to explore LISTENING WITH THE HEART through prayer, reflection, discussion and practice.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PREPARATION:

The sessions take place on Wednesday in the parish rooms on the following dates starting at 6:30. The meetings will last approximately an hour.

Meeting 7      16 April


DIGITAL GIVING:

Hopefully you have seen the credit card reader which has recently been installed at the back of St Joseph’s church. Sadly there was a small deficit last year in our parish funds and therefore it needs to be as easy as possible for parishioners to contribute to our parish.

There are now two new ways of cashless giving

      1.    It’s very easy to use the card reader at the back of church, clear instructions are with the machine,  

OR

      2.    You can use the QR code in church and on the website, just scan the code and follow the simple instructions

The Dinnington group will meet at 7pm (6.30 for refreshments) each Thursday as follows:

10th April - tbc. (Possibly The Bridge)
